Teams allow you to group users (and even other teams) so you can assign them collectively to entities, flow template groups, and projects.

Teams in Navgar make it easier to manage access and responsibilities by grouping people together. Instead of assigning permissions or project roles to individuals one by one, you can assign a whole team in just a few clicks. Teams can also include other teams (nested teams), which gives you flexibility in how you organize your company’s structure. This article covers how to create teams and where to use them today in Navgar.

Creating a Team

  1. Go to your account page in the Admin Panel.

  2. Select Teams (next to View).

  3. Click Create Team.

  4. Enter a team name and upload a team avatar.

  5. In Manage Team, add:

    • Individual users, or

    • Existing teams (nested teams).

  6. Click Update Team to save.

Adding Teams to Entities

  1. Open the Entity module.

  2. Select the Entity Type.

  3. Click the edit pencil icon.

  4. Use the dropdown to add your Team.

Adding Teams to Flow Template Groups

  1. Open the Flow Template module.

  2. Select the Template Group.

  3. Click the edit pencil icon.

  4. In Shared, add your Team via the dropdown.

Adding Teams to Projects

  1. Open the Projects module.

  2. Find the project you want to update.

  3. Open the triple-dot menu.

  4. Select Assign Members.

  5. Add your Team via the dropdown.

Tip: Teams can be nested, which means you can build flexible structures — for example, “Support East” and “Support West” teams inside a larger “Support” team.
